Hi! I’m Hannelie Victor.
When I just started knitting, I hated to cast on. It felt like it took forever. Then my father taught me the long tail cast-on technique and it was a game changer for me. It still remains my go-to cast on to this day.
Thirty years later, I continue to feel the joy of creating something beautiful from a simple skein of yarn.
In 2019, I embarked on my knitting design journey with little idea of what I was doing. With guidance from wonderful teachers like Francoise Danoy and Shirley Paden, I’ve honed my skills.
One of my proudest moments was having my Winding Lanes pullover design featured in Shirley Paden’s runway show during Vogue Knitting Live in January 2024.
